01 THE ACTUAL NEWS

THE ORIGIN STORYONE PUMPKIN.
AN ENTIRE
FRANCHISE.
REPORTED / OCT 2026

A real video. A fictional league.
A deeply unnecessary scouting department.

BEFORE WE INVENTED THE LEAGUE

IT STARTED WITH
A PUMPKIN.

Somewhere between an ordinary pool session and a very important pumpkin hug, we found our franchise player.

Oregon Zoo shared footage of its sea otters carrying miniature pumpkins through the water and lifting them into a basketball hoop. The seasonal video was covered by That Oregon Life on October 25, 2026, and Good Good Good on October 26. Tiny paws, an orange ball substitute, and an expression that deserved its own sports documentary.

The basketball routine has a real purpose, too. The zoo has previously explained that its otters take part in the activity as training and exercise. The pumpkin version gives that familiar game a Halloween twist.

That is the real story. DUNK INU adds the imaginary team and a fan section that considers splashing a legitimate tactic. The Otter Basketball Association exists right here, in the joke.

The crowd is a bucket. The bucket is electric.

03 TOTALLY UNOFFICIAL SCOUTING

SCOUTS ARE
CONFUSED.

The scouting department watched one pumpkin hug and immediately spent the entire uniform budget on towels. Our rookie brings a rare combination of commitment, buoyancy, and the ability to look personally offended by an empty snack bucket.

There are a few areas for development. Footwork is mostly underwater. The pregame speech is difficult to hear through the splashing. Attempts to explain an away fixture have resulted in the player returning to the exact same patch of pool.

A MESSAGE FROM THE FRONT OFFICE

ELITE AT
FLOATING.

Every great sporting institution starts somewhere. Ours starts with an otter, a pumpkin, and an imaginary league commissioner who has already fallen into the pool.

We believe the tiny details deserve the big treatment: a rookie card for that ridiculous face, a highlight reel in your head, and a crowd that can turn a single damp vegetable into an entire personality. Make the captions stranger. Give the coach worse advice. Argue passionately about a player whose tactical system is “hold pumpkin.”

The costume is basketball. The mood is a group chat that should probably go outside. DUNK INU is built around that shared joke: a small animal taking a very small task far too seriously, while everyone on the sidelines makes it worse.

Wear the imaginary jersey.
Bring an actual sense of humor.
Leave a towel by the exit.

04 THE PROPOSED SEASON

THE LONG ROAD TO
THE SHALLOW END.

Four rounds for the joke to grow into. Round one is done; the rest are creative ideas, not promises, with room for the community to help shape what comes next.

01PRESEASON

FIND THE
LOCKER ROOM.

Name set. Look established. Official project links in one place. The rookie is introduced, the real source story is shared, and the fan section has enough context to explain why everyone is staring at an otter holding a pumpkin.

BUILD THE
HIGHLIGHT FOLDER.

Create more reaction images, caption templates, player cards, and wonderfully unqualified scouting reports. Let the character develop through the jokes people actually enjoy. Every good team needs a signature move. Ours may just be looking wet and intensely concerned.

IDEA

LET THE

Make space for community captions, alternate jerseys, imaginary rival teams, and the occasional profoundly bad play diagram. The aim is a recognizable world people can add to, with shared bits that feel like they came from the stands.

Collect the best community creations into a season archive and keep the funniest traditions alive. Give memorable fan contributions the spotlight. If the pool still has something to say, draw up another season and see which bits deserve a sequel.

THE IMPORTANT
QUESTIONS.
APPARENTLY.

Is the pumpkin-dunking story real?

Yes. The original video came from Oregon Zoo and was reported in October 2026. The links in the story section lead to the reporting and the zoo’s earlier explanation of the basketball activity. Our team, league, scouting reports, and sporting drama are fictional additions.

Why is an otter called Inu?

Because somebody let the meme department handle the paperwork. The animal is a sea otter. The name is DUNK INU. The commissioner is currently unavailable to discuss species classification because their clipboard is floating away.

Is this connected to Oregon Zoo or the NBA?

No. DUNK INU is an independent meme project inspired by a real-world story. Neither Oregon Zoo, its staff, nor any basketball organization is a partner or endorser. The Otter Basketball Association is our fictional league.

Where are the contract and project links?

The top bar keeps the contract address, Pump.fun, and X together, and the footer repeats the contract address. Use either COPY button to get the exact address.

Can I contribute to the joke?

That is the idea. Bring captions, imaginary sports headlines, ridiculous coach quotes, and your most unnecessary otter analysis. Start with the source material and give it your own angle. The proposed season plan leaves plenty of room for whatever the fan section finds funniest.
